We are a hire venue situated on the ground floor of the lively Diorama Arts Centre, close to Regents Park in central London, five minutes from Great Portland St. tube, ten minutes from Warren St, tube. The gallery is fully accessible and there are two disability toilets on the ground floor. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday 10-6.

It is painted white and has a sloping glass roof that provides excellent light during the day.

The main gallery space measures 14.5 x 5 metres (48x18 feet) covering a floor space of 72.5 sq metres. The tallest point is 5 metres. Track lights are also fitted.

A foyer space is also available for use by exhibitors; however as it is a public thoroughfare exhibitors need to be sensitive to access in the design of their show. When performances take place in the Diorama Theatre, space may also be required for promotional material and actors’ CV's. The foyer measures 15.5x3.5 metres and is 5 metres high. It is also fitted with track lighting.

The gallery space (with the addition of the foyer) is available for a minimum of three weeks and the hire cost is £300 per week. Although the cost of running the gallery is considerably higher than this, we subsidise gallery shows and events in order to make then affordable to contemporary artists and groups. Please note: we do not take commissions (or accept them in lieu of gallery fees).

The hire fee covers a paid listing in two arts publications: New Exhibitions of Contemporary Art (who also publish a popular on-line version) and Galleries Magazine, technical help prior to the exhibition and a mail out to around 60 key media contacts. The latter are selected from the Visual Arts Media Contacts Directory, a regularly edited periodical providing by name arts, listings and reviews editors.

As exhibition space at Diorama is in high demand, please call the gallery regarding availability.
Exhibitions are normally hung on Sundays (with technical assistance), and taken down on Saturdays. Private Views and Openings, if required, are usually held on Monday evenings.

We aim to present a varied annual programme of exhibitions and work is selected by the gallery committee, who meet each month. Those interested in exhibiting should send their details and a CV, along with a selection of images representative of the work to be shown (these can be emailed as JPEGS, sent as prints/slides or on disc. Hard copies should be clearly labelled). Please also include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

A visit to see the space and an early application is recommended, as we get quite a number of enquiries. Approximately four to six weeks prior to a show's opening is required to send out press releases and meet publication deadlines. It is always in the artist's interest to book and provide us with information as early as possible, as publicity is an essential element of an exhibition's attendance.

Upon the acceptance of a proposal, an Exhibition Agreement will be signed by both Diorama and the artist.

Please call to find out about dates available and forthcoming exhibitions. We hope you will be interested in exhibiting and look forward to hearing from you.
